Privacy Policy
Your privacy is the foundation of LifeOS. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your data.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
LifeOS is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. We do not sell your data, display advertisements, or share your personal information with third parties for commercial purposes.
We collect only the minimum information needed to operate the service, and we are transparent about what that information is and how it is used.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
2.2 User-Generated Content
All content you create within LifeOS — including goals, projects, work items, journal entries, and notes — is stored on our servers when you use cloud storage. This content is used solely to provide the service to you.
2.3 Technical Data
We collect minimal technical information such as your IP address (for security purposes), browser type, and session tokens. This data is used to operate and secure the service and is not linked to your content or sold to third parties.
2.4 What We Do NOT Collect
- Behavioral tracking or analytics across third-party websites
- Advertising identifiers
- Biometric data
- Your contacts, location, or device contents
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to:
- Provide and maintain the LifeOS service
- Authenticate your sessions securely
- Sync your data across your devices (if you use cloud storage)
- Send transactional emails (e.g., password reset, account confirmation)
- Respond to your support requests
- Calculate and bill storage usage
We do not use your data for any purpose beyond what is listed above without your explicit consent.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, which use industry-standard encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
While no system is perfectly secure, we are committed to promptly notifying you in the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, as required by applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export — download all your data in a portable format at any time
- Objection — object to or restrict certain types of processing

7. Third-Party Services
LifeOS uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
These services are governed by their own privacy policies. We select providers that uphold strong data protection standards and do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies necessary to authenticate your session and keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
LifeOS is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the application. Your continued use of LifeOS after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
